Valentine Selected for 2022 NEA Women in Business

JONESBORO, Ark. – Christy Valentine, Hytrol’s Manager of Academic Partnerships, has been selected as one of the 2022 Northeast Arkansas Women in Business. Valentine was one of 12 women chosen by Talk Business & Politics for the award.

“From music to manufacturing, I work to communicate my passion and share opportunities that allow people to live up to their full potential. Helping open doors for others is the best job in the world … truly a ‘heart’ job,” Valentine told the publication as part of its Q&A session for the award.

Valentine works closely with universities, colleges, vocational schools and K-12 institutions to show the benefits of working in the manufacturing industry. She also helps to improve workforce development and community outreach in Jonesboro and surrounding areas.

“Since returning to work in Jonesboro, Hytrol has provided so many incredible opportunities to reestablish relationships, build my network and reconnect with the area I love so much. I don’t take this award lightly,” Valentine said. “The women who have been honored are change makers in Northeast Arkansas and beyond. I am so honored to be among this group. I feel motivated to work even harder to build a pipeline of opportunity for people in our region.”

All award recipients will be honored at a special in-person reception at the Glass Factory in Jonesboro on September 27. This is the fourth time Talk Business & Politics has had such an award for the Northeast Arkansas region and winners are chosen based on nominations.
