JONESBORO, Ark.—Christy Valentine, the manager of academic and philanthropic programs for Hytrol Conveyor Company, has been selected as the recipient of the Leader in Service award by the Women’s Leadership Collaborative (WLC) at Arkansas State University.
The WLC aims to promote leadership opportunities and provide a support network for students and mentors, and the awards are to honor Delta region women for their significant contributions to their communities and fields. The other women being recognized this year include: Dr. Tywanna Smith, Dr. Tochi Amagwula Keeton, Christie Mink-Matthews, Dr. Nina Crutchfield, Sharon Davis and Casey Kidd.
Valentine said, “I am deeply honored to be included among such an extraordinary group of women. Connecting people with opportunities and witnessing them strive toward their fullest potential has been my life’s passion. To be recognized for doing what I truly love is a blessing, and I am immensely grateful for this award.”
During her tenure at Hytrol, Valentine has guided the company’s philanthropic investments and enjoys working with schools both near and far to help connect students with fruitful careers in advanced manufacturing.
