Hytrol Represented at Manufacturing Day Proclamation
JONESBORO, Ark.— Hytrol Conveyor Company, a leader in the material handling industry, helped accept a Jonesboro proclamation on behalf of local manufacturers.
On Oct. 15, Jonesboro Mayor Harold Copenhaver began the city council meeting with a special proclamation concerning Manufacturing Day and its importance to the local community. Manufacturing Day is an annual event that takes place on the first Friday in October and events last throughout the month. The purpose being for companies from around the nation to showcase modern manufacturing practices and help bolster interest for careers in the industry.
Mayor Copenhaver made the proclamation and said in part, “Manufacturing Day to be a noteworthy component to our economic development strategy by encouraging students to explore careers in manufacturing.” The proclamation also urged citizens of Jonesboro to recognize the importance of manufacturers in the city, state and nation.
Hytrol and TrinityRail Maintenance Services accepted the mayor’s proclamation on behalf of Jonesboro’s manufacturing community. Christy Valentine, Hytrol’s Manager of Academic and Philanthropic Programs, represented the conveyor manufacturer along with Tracey Crafton of TrinityRail.
