Valentine Elected to ASPSF Board of Directors

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Christy Valentine, Manager of Academic & Philanthropic Programs at Hytrol Conveyor Co., has joined the Arkansas Single Parent Scholarship Fund (ASPSF) Board of Directors.

Valentine was among five new leaders elected to the board for 2026 during the organization’s meeting on Dec. 4, 2025. The new officers will each serve three-year terms. A new board president was also elected to a two-year term.

ASPSF utilizes its scholarship program to help Arkansas single parents attain higher learning goals and economic stability. The group awarded nearly 1,400 scholarships totaling $1.7 million in 2025, an increase from 832 scholarships totaling $1.3 million in 2024, according to ASPSF.

In addition to her scholastic and philanthropic work at Hytrol, Valentine has also worked with non-profits and higher education institutions, including Girls Inc., Soulsville Foundation and Arkansas State University.

“As a single mother who was raised by a single mother, I understand the critical importance of a strong support network,” Valentine stated in a news release from the organization. “ASPSF removes barriers and provides invaluable resources that help parents achieve their educational goals and build a better future for their families. Through my work in philanthropy, I have developed expertise in strategic fundraising, and I am honored and excited to contribute those skills to an organization I am deeply passionate about.”
