HYTROL WELCOMES NEW FORT SMITH EMPLOYEES
This team and facility will be responsible for Hytrol’s parcel line. The plant will start production in March and will continue to grow throughout the year. Phillip Poston, Director of Site Operations, said the location will employ over 250 people by the end of 2021.
“These employees are the foundational crew for our Fort Smith production facility. On behalf of the Fort Smith leadership team and our entire Hytrol family back in Jonesboro, we welcome them and say congratulations,” said Poston.
The expansion is in line with Hytrol’s mission and vision, as well as the company’s core values of faith, family, empathy, commitment, community, and gratitude. When the company announced the expansion, Poston expressed how important these were in both the decision and the opportunity to continue the legacy of Tom Loberg, Hytrol’s founder and Poston’s grandfather.
“At Hytrol we want to live out our mission, vision, and core values every day. We want to share these with our new Fort Smith family members,” stated Poston.
The onboarding experience for the employees includes both production training and learning about Hytrol’s culture. Hytrol’s Employee Training Specialist Matt Hendrix said this kind of training is especially important for the new employees.
“At Hytrol, it is important to not solely understand the way products are created and function, but it’s also critical to know how the company operates as a whole. By understanding our company’s culture, our new team members can find a deeper meaning in their work,” Hendrix said.
The facility in Fort Smith will begin production on March 1.
